Description of the episode:
In this episode we’re going to read a text about Uca’s favourite food and other food related vocabulary. It uses Present Tense and Past Tense (both Pretérito Perfeito and Pretérito Imperfeito). The text is in the 1st person, so it’s going to be Uca talking.

Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of the Beginner European Portuguese Podcast powered by Uca Teaches Portuguese, I’m your hostess Raquel Reis!
I’m very happy to be recording another episode. I really like recording these, I like the whole process: write the text, the transcript and the vocabulary.
This text is also in the 1st person just like last week’s text because I wanted to switch things up a little bit. These are not going to be the only ones in the 1st person. I’m still not sure if the following ones are going to follow the same pattern but I will mix them up so we can have a variety of texts.
Let’s get started!
As always the text is going to be read in two different speeds: the first one is slower and the second one is faster.
Eu adoro comer. Como pratos bastante variados e estou sempre a experimentar novos sabores. A minha comida favorita é pizza. Prefiro pizza com muito queijo e pepperoni, mas também gosto de juntar outros ingredientes, como azeitonas e cogumelos. Adoro o cheiro da pizza depois de sair do forno, e o sabor do queijo é irresistível para mim.
Também adoro hambúrgueres! Gosto de preparar hambúrgueres caseiros com o meu pai. Escolhemos os melhores ingredientes e cozinhamos com cuidado. Gosto de adicionar alface, tomate, queijo e uma fatia de bacon. E claro, também uma porção grande de batatas fritas ao lado. Nos dias de inverno, a minha mãe faz sopa de legumes. A sopa é uma mistura de cenouras, batatas, abóbora e outras verduras frescas.
Tenho uma grande paixão por doces portugueses. A minha sobremesa favorita é a baba de camelo. É muito doce e cremosa, tem uma textura suave e um sabor incrível! Lembro-me sempre da minha avó quando como esta sobremesa. Aprendi a fazer baba de camelo com ela quando eu era pequeno. A minha avó é a melhor a fazer bolos e sobremesas.
Estou sempre à procura de novas receitas para experimentar. Nos fins de semana, gosto de ajudar os meus pais na cozinha e aprendo a cozinhar as minhas comidas favoritas.
