Ep.24 - Uma viagem à Madeira (A1/A2)

Hello everyone. Welcome to another episode of Beginner European Portuguese Podcast powered by Uca Teaches Portuguese. I’m your host Raquel Reis and today's text is going to be about Uca and his best friend Miguel’s trip to Madeira. There will be a lot of vocabulary related to traveling as well as cultural food and experiences, and in today's text we will be using the Past Tense (Pretérito Perfeito and Pretérito Imperfeito).

Para a última viagem deles, o Uca e o Miguel decidiram explorar a Madeira. Assim que aterraram, começaram pelo Funchal. Foram visitar o Mercado dos Lavradores. O Miguel provou frutas exóticas e o Uca comprou um bolo de mel. Depois, subiram de teleférico até ao Monte, onde passearam no Jardim Tropical e desceram nos tradicionais carros de cesto. Foi muito divertido!

À tarde, foram às Piscinas Naturais de Porto Moniz. Mergulharam nas águas claras e relaxaram ao som das ondas do Atlântico.

No segundo dia, fizeram uma caminhada pela Levada das 25 Fontes. Estavam rodeados de vegetação e cascatas. O Uca estava a gravar um vlog, mas o Miguel estava mais interessado na natureza. Antes de terminar, visitaram o Cabo Girão e provaram espetada madeirense acompanhada de poncha num restaurante local.

Voltaram ao continente e sentiram-se muito cansados, mas contentes. A próxima viagem é fora de Portugal, talvez.

3) No segundo dia ele estava a gravar um vlog. (On the second day he was recording a vlog)

4) Talvez fora de Portugal. (Maybe outside of Portugal)
